We released Trouble Comes Twice! 🥳

We're so proud to have released our first game as a studio last year. It meant the world finally being able to show our game to the world and getting to see your reactions. 

We know the game isn't perfect and there were some rough patches throughout development, but we've learned a lot and we are forever thankful for the support we received from our players,  backers, patrons, family, friends, and the talented freelancers who helped this project become more than just a dream. We're confident that our experiences working on TCT will help us make even better games in the future!

Trouble Comes Twice: Bonus Stories releases February/March

Speaking of future projects... After the release of the main game, we've been pouring all of our energy into the DLC and we're excited to announce that it'll be out any month now! This DLC is going to be the last major public update to the game before we bid goodbye to these characters.

Just so that no one gets the wrong expectations: Please keep in mind that this DLC isn't a sequel or anything so large-scale. It's essentially a collection of short bonus stories (hence the name), accompanied by one illustration per couple and two chibi illustrations. We would mainly recommend this DLC to players interested in more than one of the couples so you'll get the most out of the content, but it will be relatively inexpensive because it's not so long! In total, there's 16 short stories plus a "beach episode" with variations depending on which MC you play as and who you are romancing. 

Trouble Comes Twice: Merch Interest Check!

We previously stated that we had no plans to release any physical merch for Trouble Comes Twice, but we're now reconsidering this decision! We've had several people ask about merch and decided to create a survey to check how many people might be interested in buying charms of the characters and which characters you would prefer to see if we aren't able to immediately offer charms for all of them. If you think that you might like to buy Trouble Comes Twice chibi charms, please consider filling in this short survey! Won't take you longer than a minute or two and we'll appreciate it a lot. 

Future Projects

We have several ideas and plans for the future, but our next main project as a studio is going to be Burn the Midnight Oil.  The game officially began production in October, but we have already made a great deal of progress thanks to our amazing lead artist Lydia.

You'll have to follow our Twitter or Tumblr for more regular updates on the game, but we wanted to share a quick sneak peek at some of the romance options as well as a a hint at what you can expect from the plot:

Starring vampires, demons and other horrors of the night - Burn the Midnight Oil is a supernatural mystery romance visual novel set in a fictionalized version of 80s England. The player steps into the heels of the vengeful private detective Circe, a vampire infamous for hunting her own kind or the shoes of the reluctant cop Dante, a short-tempered half-demon torn between his human side and the world of the supernatural.

We're excited for everyone to meet Circe, Dante and the rest of the cast when we officially announce this project later this year!
